The seminar for preachers

On January, 14th we had the seminar for preachers in our church.
18 brothers from our church which are heads of small groups gathered.
Michael Solovev - pastor of Rzhev Baptist church was the leader of a seminar.
"Pure Word of God without eloquence is better, than human wisdom and refined speech without God's Word" - so blessed Avgustin has told. The preacher should base the sermon on the Bible and correctly explain Word of God to people.
Here the basic theses about sermon which have been considered at a seminar:
1. A sermon basic purpose - an explanation of the Word of God
2. The preacher should have sober mind and pure heart.
3. The content of the sermon is more important than its form.
4. The sermon should prove to be true life of the preacher.
5. The sermon and a prayer are closely interconnected.
6. It is necessary to avoid an excessive emotionality and insincerity of tone
7. The sermon should inspire, clear up love for God and people.
In breaks brothers had also possibility to communicate with a cup of tea.
The seminar passed within three hours. Brothers have learned a lot of new and useful things for their further service. It was only the first, introduction employment. Such meetings are planned and further. May God bless brothers in this hard and necessary service - preaching of the Word of God!
